The Emporium Shopping Complex joined forces with Lego to celebrate Children’s Day 2011 by holding “Emporium Lego Star Wars Saga” to delight Thai and foreign children and lovers of Lego and Star Wars, and also commemorate 12 years of Lego Star Wars. For the first time in Thailand, thousands of Lego bricks are used to recreate scenes from all six Star Wars films and life size Darth Vader and Storm Troopers. There are many edutainment activities and workshops for families to enjoy throughout the event to be held from 6 to 16 January 2011 at Fashion Hall, 1st Floor, The Emporium Shopping Complex.
This is the first time where all the important scenes and characters from the popular Star Wars franchise are presented magnificently through thousands of Lego bricks. There are scenes from Battle of Hoth, Pod Racer and Tatooine, Geonosis, Imperial Inspection, Emperor Palpatine (Death Star II edition), Battle of Endor, Ewok, Plants of Endor, 20 Star War aircrafts hanging from a tunnel, and many more. These masterpieces were assembled by Thailand’s leading Lego Model Builders consisting of Thai Lego club members who used special techniques and imported Lego pieces especially for this event.
This is an ambitious project that aims to map all LEGO events, brand stores, LEGOLANDs and User Groups to make it easier to find things near you. It's certainly not the easiest thing to do, but man is it fun. You can help by either commenting on existing things or add new stuff.
This is a joint effort by Adam "Repoort" Hally and Linus Bohman, Swooshmeister of Swooshable. Swooshable creates awesome LEGO apps like this one, Buzz, Building School and Amazon Dealfinder to name a few. Want to know about new releases? Join the Swooshable mailing list! No spam, only ham:
