1000steine.de was founded in 1999 and by 2016 has more than 40.000 registered users. 600 PLUS members support the site by paying a small amount and help to run 1000steine.de as the most important platform for LEGO enthusiasts in the German-speaking web. 2003 to 2010, the TausendSteineLand (TSL) was held in Berlin as the most important fan event of this LUG. 2012 it was replaced by "SteineWAHN", an exhibition organized by "Berliner Steinkultur" and in 2014 the first TausendSteineInsel (TSI) held on the German resort island Langeoog was a great success and SteinStark exhebition has been setup. 1000steine.de nominates "MOC of the Month" and "MOC of the Year" and hosts the pictures for BrickSet.com.
