A third variant of the fun DSnot technique can be achieved if we take the same construction but flatten it.

Examples
As before, we use the fact that the hinges are the same size as standard bars and the hinge studs hollow.
The dimensions of the technique makes it suitable for use in conjunction with 2x4 plates.
